Benefits of Pumpkin in skincare
When I think of fall I think of colorful leaves, sweaters, boots, and pumpkins! Pumpkins are not just for your pumpkin spiced lattes and pies, pumpkin is also for your SKIN!
- Pumpkin is made up of alpha-hydroxy acids and other fruit enzymes that gently sough off dead skin, increasing cell turnover, leaving your skin radiant and smooth!
- Pumpkin also has vitamins A & C. Vitamin A helps reduce wrinkles and helps reverse UV damage. Vitamin C helps stimulate collagen production while fighting free radical damage.
- Pumpkin also contains a fair amount of zinc. Zinc in the enzyme will help control sebum production and also aid in balancing your hormone levels. This, in turn, reduces acne and allows the skin to heal.
My personal favorite mask year round is Diana Ralys Papaya Pumpkin Mask. This mask has all the benefits above and smells like Thanksgiving in a Jar. This mask is great for acne-prone skin, oily skin, hyperpigmentation, dry skin, oily skin and combination skin. This mask is not recommended for sensitive skin as Pumpkin is a very active ingredient that can feel pretty spicy on the skin.
