Youthful Skin | Almond Joy Truffles

You may have heard sugar will give you cavities, but did you know sugar could cause your wrinkles?! An excess of sugar can break down collagen in the body and skin. Collagen is what gives our skin strength and elasticity. When collagen breaks down our skin starts the ability to bounce back fast slows down. You will start to notice sagging, creases, and fine lines.

You might be thinking why is she making a youthful skin dessert recipe then if sugar breaks down collagen. I love sweets and I know so many people who love their sweets. This is a healthier version of one of my favorite candy bars that allows you to satisfy your sweet tooth and has anti-aging properties. When avoiding sugar you want to eat foods lower on the glycemic index, and you always want to avoid processed white sugar. Feed your skin and feed your soul with these tasty truffles!
